FAQs

  • Wix is an online platform used to create and curate websites. It offers the option of premate templates and content or to create your own from scratch.

  • Sign up via our smartsheet form and you will receive an invite to collaborate from the CDVL account. *Please then make an account using the link and access your site!

  • The CDVL is your support system! Make an appointment with a tutor or check out our website. 

  • Wix is more suited to our community needs in usability and storage options.

  • No! Any and all WordPress sites previously created will not be removed.

  • Think of it as your digital space. You can display projects and assignments from class, internships, SCALE experiences, Journeys experiences, personal projects, blog posts, videos, music and so much more. The space is yours to show off the things you know and do.

  • Yes! All students will receive communication on how to keep their site past graduation closer to then. It will give you the opportunity to transfer your site to a personal email. I am a faculty/staff member.

  • Agnes Scott provides WIX primarily as a platform where students can create their digital presence and showcase their learning in relationship to academic coursework, internships, practica, etc. WIX may also be used for all activities directly related to undergraduate and graduate course activities. 

    ASC generally permits students to link to any business, commercial and entrepreneurial sites they operate (as long as these sites, the services, and any products do not violate existing laws and/or undermine the college’s mission and reputation…) 

    Upon graduation, students will have the opportunity to take ownership of the site’s full capabilities by paying a monthly license fee or maintain a free version of their site with reduced capability
